Toros University Journal of Health Research is the publication member of Toros University School of Health Services. The aim of the journal is to publish articles related to basic medical sciences, health sciences and social fields related to health, as well as to provide an environment where multidisciplinary studies, compilations and letters to the editor related to human health can be published. The journal aims to ensure compliance with ethical rules and open access publication of scientific studies in the articles it publishes.

Toros University Health Research Journal covers academic research and studies covering Basic Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Oral and Dental Health, Child Development, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Biotechnology and Biomedical Applications.

Toros University Health Research Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal and is published twice a year in October and March.

WRITING RULES
Starting its publication life in 2023, the “Journal of Health Research” is a free, academic e-journal that accepts original research articles, review articles, technical notes and book reviews published twice a year, in October and March, and conducts an international double-blind refereeing process. The publication languages ​​of the journal are Turkish and English. The Journal of Health Research, the publication organ of Toros University School of Health Services, is a scientific journal that includes experimental studies and current findings on topics covering Basic Medical Sciences, Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, Oral and Dental Health, Child Development, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Biotechnology and Biomedical Applications. All articles submitted for publication are evaluated by the editor or section editors, the editorial board and referees.
Authors must show that the study is original (with a similarity rate of less than 20% in the iThenticate or Turnitin report). The text must be added as a full text, excluding the references, to plagiarism practices.
If the article is a derivative, the name of the study it is derived from, the institution, date and place information must be stated.
The editorial board may make changes to the content and format of the article, provided that the authors obtain their permission.
If the article contains previously published citations, tables, pictures, etc., the author(s) of the article must obtain written permission from the copyright holder and authors and indicate this in the article. The author(s) are responsible for whether the necessary permissions have been obtained in this regard.
The authors are responsible for the compliance of the articles with scientific and ethical rules.
It is important that the articles sent to the journal are prepared in accordance with the spelling rules specified below. The evaluation process will not be initiated after the editorial review for articles prepared without taking these rules into consideration.
Articles to be sent to the Journal of Health Research are accepted digitally from the www.…… website; all evaluation and correction processes are carried out on the relevant site. 1. File Uploaded to the System
The article file uploaded to the system by the authors should not contain any information about the authors. The responsible author should prepare the names, titles, institution information, open addresses and e-mail addresses and ORCIDs of each author in a second file in the AUTHOR INFORMATION FORM outside the article file and upload them to the system.

1.1. Copyright and plagiarism report
A COPYRIGHT FORM signed by all authors and a plagiarism report (iThenticate or Turnitin) should be added during the upload of article files to the system. The review process will not be initiated for studies where any of these 4 files are missing and not prepared properly.

1.2. Ethics committee approval
For clinical and experimental studies requiring ethics committee approval, ethics committee approval should include “ethics committee name, decision number and date” and should be uploaded as an additional file.

1.3. File editing tool
All files should be prepared in Microsoft Office Word.
2. Language of writing
The language of writing is Turkish and English.

3. Text Format
Articles should be prepared in a single column in accordance with the Article Template File.

4. Text Style and Page Layout
Article files should be sent only in Microsoft Word format. You can access the template by clicking this link. All text should be prepared in 11 point Times New Roman font. Line spacing should be 1 in the reference sections, 1.5 in the abstract (only for articles written in Turkish) and in the main text. Each paragraph header should start at the beginning of the line, and the line spacing should be maintained as 1 with a “space before the paragraph” selected.
The page layout should be A4 size, with margins left, right, bottom and top 2.5 cm, Times New Roman font, 11 point, 1.5 line spacing, with 6nk space added before and after the paragraph, and the paragraph header should be written with a 1 cm indentation. In the first and second level headings, all words should be written in capital letters, bold, Times New Roman font, 11 point, aligned to the left margin and numbered with Roman numerals. Lower level headings should be written with only the first letter of the words capitalized and the others lowercase, Times New Roman font, 11 point, italic and numbered.
The total number of tables and figures should not exceed 5. Tables, figures and equations should be numbered sequentially, titles should be written above tables and below figures with the first letter of each word capitalized. There should be no vertical lines in the table. Table titles should be written in bold Times New Roman font, 10 points, and the table content should be written in Times New Roman font, 8-10 points. PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES
Toros University Journal of Health Research publishes original research, case reports, editorial comments, letters to the editor and compilations.
The rules to be followed during the preparation of the article are as follows:
1. The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English.
2. Studies sent to our journal for publication should not have been published in any other journal, accepted for publication or under evaluation for publication.
3. In the proceedings presented in scientific meetings and the abstracts of which are published, the name, date and place of the meeting are included in the evaluation.
4. If there is a quoted text, table, picture etc. in the studies sent for publication, the author of the article must obtain written permission from the copyright holder and the authors and indicate this in the article. The authors are legally responsible for this matter.
5. When the submission process of the article is started, it will be displayed in the mandatory forms tab and will allow the file to be downloaded to your computer. You must upload the signed version of the file from the same tab.
6. In Turkish articles, the Turkish Language Association's Turkish Dictionary of Terms (http://www.tdk.org.tr) should be taken as basis.
7. A DOI Number is assigned to each article published in the journal and no fee is requested from the authors.
8. If an "Ethics Committee Approval" is required for the article; authors must declare in the "Materials and Methods" section that they have received the ethics committee permission-approval.
9- Authors must transfer the publication copyright to the Journal of Health Research. The publication rights transfer form is available in the mandatory forms tab during the submission phase of your article and it is possible to save the file to your computer. The filled form will be uploaded back from the same section.
10- Submitted articles are queued for publication with the approval of the Editorial Board.
11- The similarity report must be uploaded to the system together with the article submission and articles that do not comply with the publication ethics will not be evaluated and will be rejected.
12- Toros University Health Research Journal does not charge any processing or publication fees for articles submitted.

PUBLICATION ETHICS
Ethical rules
Below are the ethical responsibilities, roles and duties of the authors, journal editor, referees and publisher. The ethical principles and rules below have been prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the ‘Committe on Publication Ethics’ (COPE (https://publicationethics.org/)).
Author(s)
All sources used in the articles (authors, online pages, personal interviews, etc.) must be cited correctly and appropriately.
It must be stated that the articles submitted to the journal have not been sent to another journal and the Copyright Transfer Form must be filled out. The Copyright Transfer Form must be signed by all authors.
Individuals who have not contributed to the article should not be listed as authors.
Conflicts of interest regarding the submitted article must be stated and the reason must be explained.
Authors may be asked to submit raw data regarding their work to the editorial board during the peer review process, in which case authors are expected to share their raw data with the editorial board. Authors are obliged to keep the data regarding a published article for 5 years.

Authors must inform the editor and the editorial board when they detect an error in their work and cooperate for the correction or retraction process.
Reviewers
All articles sent to Toros University Journal of Health Research are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process. Double-blind peer review means that authors are kept confidential from reviewers and reviewers are kept confidential from authors in order to ensure an unbiased, objective and independent evaluation process. Articles are sent to reviewers through the journal management system for evaluation. Reviewers are required to fill out a form that includes their decisions regarding the contribution of the article they are evaluating to the academic field, whether the article is publishable or not, and the reasons for these decisions. The ethical responsibilities and roles of reviewers of Toros University Journal of Health Research are as follows:
Reviewers are required to referee articles related to their areas of expertise only. Reviewers are expected to agree to referee articles that do not have any conflicts of interest. Reviewers should inform the editor if they discover any conflicts of interest and decline to referee the relevant article. Reviewers should evaluate articles impartially and objectively. Reviewers are required to fill out the Reviewer Evaluation Form for the articles they evaluate, and are expected not to state their names on the forms in order not to harm the double-blind review process. Reviewers are also required to state their decisions on whether the article they evaluate is publishable and the reasons for their decisions on this form. The tone used by reviewers in their recommendations must be polite, respectful and scientific.
